The Canadian Society for International Health is partnering with the international film and broadcasting company, WebsEdge, to bring Global Health TV to this year’s Canadian Conference on Global Health.

Global Health TV is the online news channel, and onsite conference television channel, dedicated to health news and views, created by WebsEdge/Health. On each day of the conference, Global Health TV will be featuring a new television episode on plasma screens around the venue, as well as on a dedicated television channel in guest hotel rooms.

This venture serves to raise the visibility of the hard work of the global health community, and to provide an opportunity to learn about new and ongoing initiatives that are making a difference.

Each daily program has two features: “Thought Leadership” and “Conference News.” Thought Leadership pieces are five-minute sponsored film segments highlighting programs, case studies and best practices from around the world. Conference News is a daily program of conference highlights, featuring “behind the scenes” interviews, coverage of conference events, and reactions to the day from attending delegates.

WebsEdge will be reaching out to organizations and agencies in the field of global health to describe the “Thought Leadership” program and seek their engagement in creating the five-minute documentary-style films highlighting particular aspects of their project work.

There are a limited number of spots available for the five-minute films. If you would like to explore the opportunity of having a film featured in the program, please contact the following WebsEdge team members directly: Richard Price: richard@websedge.com  Tim Brolly: timothy@websedge.com
